To validate an EV (Extended Validation) certificate, follow these organized steps:

  1. Initiate Callback: Use one of the specified emails (admin@domain.com, administrator@domain.com, hostmaster@domain.com, postmaster@domain.com, webmaster@domain.com) to start the callback process.

  2. Receive Verification Code: After initiating the callback, you will receive a verification code via email. This code is used to set up an automated call to your verified phone number.

  3. Automated Call Setup: Enter your phone extension (if applicable) and click "Call me now" to initiate the automated call. You will then receive a 6-digit verification code.

  4. Enter Verification Code: Paste this 6-digit code into the Callback Verification Code field in the provided template and click Next.

  5. Complete Validation: Once all verifications are completed, the EV certificate will be issued and sent to the administrative contact email address (one of the specified emails).

  6. Check Progress: Use the SSL Validation Tool to monitor the status and expedite the certificate issuance if needed.

  7. Additional Options:

    • Schedule a Call Later: If preferred, you can schedule the call for a convenient time.
    • Request Manual Callback: For manual validation by a Sectigo agent.
    • Add Another Phone Number: Ensure any additional numbers are verified through a reputable directory or legal document.
