To set up an email filter in your cPanel, follow these organized steps:

  1. Access Email Filters: Navigate to the Email Filters section within your cPanel, typically found under the "Email" category.

  2. Create or Edit a Filter:

    • To create a new filter, click on "Add Filter."
    • To edit an existing filter, click "Edit" next to the desired filter name.
  3. Define Criteria:

    • Choose from criteria options such as Equals, Matches Regex, Contains, etc., based on your requirement (e.g., domain, content, or start/end of messages).
  4. Set Action:

    • Select an action like Discard Message, Redirect to Email, Fail With Message, or Stop Processing rules.
  5. Global vs. Per Mailbox Application: Apply filters globally for all mailboxes or per specific mailbox as needed.

  6. Save Changes: After configuring criteria and actions, click "Save" to apply changes.

  7. Delete a Filter:

    • Click "Delete" next to the filter name.
    • Confirm by clicking "Delete Filter."
  8. Test the Filter: Send a test email to ensure it behaves as intended. Troubleshoot if necessary by checking each part of the criteria and actions.
