What is the difference between an Esadax VPS and an Esadax Cloud Server?+
Both services provide virtual servers. Cloud Server is Esadax's established platform, while the VPS platform is designed around newer VPS infrastructure and the OpenStack API.
How long does it take to provision an Esadax VPS?+
VPS provisioning is automated. Once your account has the required funds or payment method available, creation starts automatically and your server can be accessible in less than two minutes.
How are Esadax VPS servers billed?+
Esadax VPS servers are billed monthly. The platform uses a prepaid account and requires sufficient funds or a valid payment method associated with the account.
Can I choose the location of my server?+
On the Esadax VPS platform, servers are currently hosted in France in the FR-SD6 data center.
Can I install a CMS on an Esadax VPS?+
Yes. You have administrator and root access, so you can deploy CMS platforms and other applications such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla or PrestaShop.
Is my server data backed up?+
The infrastructure uses replication mechanisms to protect data integrity, but replication is not a replacement for an independent backup strategy. Customers should maintain their own regular remote backups for critical data.
Can I create a VPS with a custom configuration?+
The available VPS configurations are predefined. Contact Esadax if your workload requires a configuration that is not listed and you need to discuss your requirements.
Which operating systems are available with Esadax VPS?+
Available operating system images include Ubuntu, Debian, Arch Linux and NixOS. Additional images may be added over time.
