To set up a Python application on your cPanel account, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Setup Python App feature: Navigate to your cPanel dashboard and look for the "Setup Python App" option under the appropriate menu. This feature allows you to deploy Python applications using Apache without manual server configuration.

  2. Upload your application files: Use the file upload option within the Setup Python App interface to upload your Python script or application files. Ensure that all necessary dependencies are included in your project directory.

  3. Install dependencies using pip: Once your application is uploaded, access the Advanced Terminal provided by cPanel. Run pip install commands to install any required Python packages and libraries needed for your application to function properly.

  4. Configure Apache handlers (optional): If your Python application serves specific file types or static assets, you may need to configure Apache handlers in your cPanel settings. This ensures that the server correctly interprets and serves files generated by your Python app.

  5. Set up cron jobs (if needed): To run your Python script on a scheduled basis, create a cron job within the Cron Jobs section of your cPanel. Specify the script path and time intervals for execution.

  6. Use Virus Scanner: Before deploying, scan your account using the Virus Scanner tool to ensure no malware is present in your application files or server environment.

  7. Monitor and maintain: Regularly check logs via the Advanced Terminal for any errors or issues related to your Python application. Update dependencies as needed and restart Apache if necessary to apply changes.
