To set up FileZilla for hosting with Esadax.com, follow these organized steps:

  1. Download FileZilla: Visit the official FileZilla website and download the version suitable for your operating system (Windows or macOS).

  2. Install FileZilla: Run the downloaded file to install the software on your computer. Follow the installation instructions provided during the setup.

  3. Open FileZilla: After installation, launch the application. Familiarize yourself with the interface, which includes tabs like Quick Connect, File Transfer, etc.

  4. Choose Protocol: Decide between using SFTP or FTPS. For security, SFTP is recommended as it uses SSH. However, if Esadax specifies a preferred method, follow their guidance.

  5. Configure Settings:

    • In the Quick Connect tab, locate the host field.
    • Obtain the server's hostname or IP address from Esadax.com's client area or signup email.
    • Enter this information into the host field.
  6. Log in: Use your Esadax-provided username and password to access the server. This will connect you to the remote site.

  7. Navigate to the Correct Folder:

    • Upon connection, navigate to the appropriate folder for your website files. For a main domain, this is typically /home/user/public_html. For addon domains, look in subfolders like /home/user/addondomain.com.
  8. Transfer Files: Use either drag-and-drop from the local panel or click the Transfer button to upload files.

  9. Verify Upload: After uploading, check if your website displays correctly online. If issues arise, ensure files are in the correct location and contact Esadax support for assistance.

  10. Adjust Settings (Optional): Configure transfer settings as needed—set Transfer Mode to Passive and limit simultaneous connections to 1.
