To set up Dreamweaver for hosting on Esadax.com, follow these organized steps:

  1. Create a New Site in Dreamweaver:

    • Open Dreamweaver and navigate to the main menu.
    • Click on "Site" and select "New Site."
    • Provide a name for your site (e.g., "My Website") and click "Create."
  2. Configure Server Settings:

    • In the "Servers" tab, click "New Server."
    • Set the server type to SFTP.
    • For the server name, you can name it something like "Esadax Server."
    • In the Connect Using field, select SFTP.
    • Enter the Esadax-provided cPanel IP address and port number (usually 21098 for SFTP).
    • Use your cPanel credentials for Username and Password.
    • Set the Root Directory to "/public_html" or a subdirectory if applicable.
    • Provide the Web URL as your domain name.
  3. Test Connection:

    • After configuring, click "Test Server."
    • Dreamweaver will verify the connection; ensure it's successful before proceeding.
  4. Upload and Manage Files:

    • Use the Files panel in Dreamweaver to upload your website files.
    • Organize files into folders as needed, especially if using a subdirectory.
  5. Publishing the Website:

    • Once all content is ready, click "Manage Sites," select your site, and click "Put" or "Upload."
    • Dreamweaver will transfer files to your Esadax server.
  6. DNS Considerations:

    • Ensure your domain's nameservers are updated with Esadax's provided values.
    • Allow time for DNS propagation for changes to take effect.
  7. Additional Settings:

    • Check cPanel for any specific settings, such as enabling SFTP in the file manager.
    • Verify that all permissions and configurations align with your hosting plan.
