To create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) for your SSL activation with Esadax, follow these steps:

  1. Identify Your Domain Information:

    • Common Name (CN): Enter your domain name, e.g., example.com.
    • Country (C): Use the two-letter country code, e.g., US for the United States.
    • Locality (L): Enter the city where your domain is registered, e.g., Los Angeles.
    • State (ST): Provide the full state name, e.g., California.
    • Organization (O): If applicable, include your company name. If not, use NA.
  2. Construct the Subject Directive:

    • Format each attribute with its value separated by commas and spaces.
    • Example:
      Subject = "CN=example.com, C=US, L=Los Angeles, ST=California, O=NA"

  3. Generate the CSR:

    • Use the certreq command to create the request file:
      certreq -new request.inf request.csr

    • Open request.csr with a text editor (e.g., Notepad) to view or edit the content.
  4. Submit the CSR:

    • Submit the generated request.csr file to Esadax for SSL activation.
